Areca nut (Areca catechu L.) is one of the leading plantation commodities in Jambi Province which has high economic value and plays an important role as a source foreign exchange for country. plants are most widely located Betara District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency. To increase yield areca nut, it necessary to know diseases that attack percentage disease attack. It useful control nut. This study aims find out about main such yellowing leaf spot, blight, red rust, root rot/base stem, fruit rot, shoot yellow leaves, foot flower die back drop, Bacterial stripe. The research was conducted using Simple Random Sampling method. Plant samples were taken randomly at people's plantations Mandala Jaya Village, District. Observations made by looking symptoms calculating affected disease. Samples plant parts attacked identified Unbari Basic Laboratory.The been Barat Regency, can be concluded three found namely spot caused fungus Curvularia sp, blight Pestalotia palmarum rust Cephaleuros sp. attacks, namely, (Curvularia sp.) highest on P1 land 40%, Leaft Blight area 35% area, 20%.
